The Appalachian Grown™ program of the Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project certifies food and agricultural products grown or raised on family farms in Western North Carolina and the Southern Appalachian mountains. Displayed with food and farm products, the Appalachian Grown label helps consumers, retailers, and wholesalers better distinguish and identify local agricultural products.

Appalachian Grown Cost Share
Appalachian Grown certified farmers and tailgate markets can apply for cost share funds from ASAP for promotions and marketing materials. Funds can be used for graphic design of a farm logo, promotional materials such as signs, product labeling, brochures, rack cards, website design, advertising and more. Funds must be used to promote Appalachian Grown certified food or food products and may not be used for other farm products. All funded promotions must include the Appalachian Grown logo which can be found on the AG logos and Materials page.
