TITLE: Program Coordinator, Growing Minds
POSITION: Full Time

REPORTS TO: Program Director, Growing Minds

GENERAL FUNCTION:
The Program Coordinator will assist in the development and implementation of the Growing Minds program. Primary responsibilities will include managing the cooking program, assisting with the pre-service project, overseeing resource distribution, and providing support to the Program Director as needed.

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:
  • Planning and implementing trainings/workshops for educators, farmers, community partners, etc.
  • Developing Farm to School curriculum and promotional materials
  • Identifying and networking with community partners
  • Updating the Growing Minds website
  • Supervising interns/volunteers
  • Administrative tasks and recordkeeping
  • Participating in fielding initial public inquiries and request
  • Traveling throughout the region as required by job duties
  • Assisting with design of programs and project management of the cooking program

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate degree required, educational background preferred
  • Significant classroom experience, K-6 preferred
  • Discretion and professionalism in dealing with sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task
  • Proficient speaker/presenter
  • Knowledgeable about and committed to ASAP’s mission
  • High level of computer competency


COMPENSATION: $30,000 plus benefits that include vacation and holiday pay, insurance stipend, and participation in an IRA retirement plan with an employer match.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
