Farside Farms

Mike Brown has made a strong place for himself in the households of western North Carolina. Customers of stores and restaurants all over the region have gotten used to eating his fresh Farside Farms eggs every morning, and many more do their produce shopping at his store on Weaverville Highway, the Farside Farms Market. Customers return to the market year-round because they know that they can find fresh and delicious produce there every time they shop.

This is Mike Brown's goal, whether it be in raising animals, vegetables and berries on Farside Farms, or in making that produce available to customers at Farside Market: to provide a safe, healthy, clean and fresh product of consistent quality. To do this, he makes sure that all of the animals of Farside Farms have access to open space and clean air. He also makes all of his animals' feed on the farm. This way he can be sure that the feed is always of high quality and appropriate mixture, and without any added antibiotics or hormones. The result is consistently pure eggs and pork (available this season from the Farside Farms Market) that customers can trust to be healthy, safe, and delicious.
