Key Strategies for Farms to Succeed in Local Markets

Interest in local foods in Western North Carolina has reached an all-time high, and local demand exceeds supply for many farm products.  For farmers to satisfy this local demand they need to have the business and marketing tools to reach and be successful in different market outlets.  Join Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project (ASAP) and NC Cooperative Extension for a half-day workshop that will present information and tools to farmers interested in expanding and diversifying into different markets.   All participants will receive a resource notebook with useful tools and information including a recently released guide to understanding and using Federal conservation programs.
